Please Pray for Elijah

My Sweet little boy is very sick. He has the Croup (Not fun). It started Sunday with a very bad cough. He had a cough early last week but it was not like this one. He has had a cold and had been coughing because of drainage. With his cough Sunday he was coughing continuously and it was a barking cough like a seal. This is something to look for if it is the croup. I will never forget it. It is highly contagious. If he gets to hot it will put him into a coughing fit. Croup is a virus that constricts the airway. The cooler in the house the better. He has to take 3 different medications. One of them is an antibiotic because he STILL has an ear infection. Please pray for my sweet little boy that he get over the croup quickly.

9 month checkup

Elijah's 9 month check up went great. He weighs 20 lb 2 oz- 50% in weight. He is 29 1/2 inches tall - 90% in height and a 47 cm head circumference- 90%. That means he is a super smart,tall and slender baby. I love my little man. ON the down side of his visit we found out he has his 3rd ear infection, which he developed because of his cold. He stays at daycare during the day so it is hard to get rid of a cold.

He is going to have his first taste of scrambled egg today. Mommy is making him a special Valentine's Day breakfast. I am also going to make him his own peach smoothie with frozen peaches and yogart. I know he will love it. My little man loves to eat.

I just wanted to share with you guys some of Elijah's 9 month pictures. They are adorable (even if I do say so myself).

9 months old!!!

I can not believe my son is nine months old already. Time has flown by and it seems as if I have missed so much of it because I have to work. That is my biggest regret: him having to go to daycare every day, which is the cause of our mysterious weekend illness. I love you so much Elijah Logan Harris. I can't believe you are nine months old already. It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing you home from the NICU. The first nine months of your life have been filled with such joy and wonder. I know the months and years to follow will be no different. Mommy and Daddy love you.

Update and Elijah's Birthday

First of all I wanted to give you an update on Elijah. He finally over the fear. PRAISE GOD! I really didn't like the 102.2 fever. He as a stuffy nose but that is due to the drastic change in temperature. So, this weekend was pretty much taken up with checking temps and dosing meds. I did manage to sneak in some projects for his birthday party. If you have been reading my blogs you might have already figured out that his birthday is not until May (the 1st to be exact). I really don't like to wait til the last minute. I have been creating a lot of things for his birthday instead of buying them. I think it makes it special and unique. I am in the process of making his invitations. Here is a sample.















I also made his birthday hat, banner and birthday shirt. Below is a pictures of those.



















If you like banner, it template is a fabric garland. Although I used scrap book paper and hot glued it to ribbon and it worked well. More on the birthday front as things unfold.
